Webdelish work in progress

I have decided to release a project I have been working on for a while. Last year I spent some time browsing through photoblogs and noting the features I thought worked well. The project is titled Webdelish.

The Plan

The plan is for everybody that has landed on this page, who has an interest in having or updating their photoblog with ExpressionEngine take some time to look at what I created. Feedback will be greatly appreciated. I will consider any feature or fix that won’t compromise what my final aim is.

End Result

The final package will include a clean set of valid templates to install within ExpressionEngine and a PDF manual to accompany them on their use. No progress bars this time! I want to finish this as rapidly as I can as it was on last years list.

Templates will include:

  • An index template
  • An archive template
  • A comment template
  • A CSS file
  • A colophon template
  • A contact template
  • An RSS feed template

  1. What Next?

Head to Webdelish and have a gander. Send your feedback via the 5pieces contact form

Hi, how are you? long time!! Compliments for the redesign, i like it. I, ve been trying to do such a thing, i’ve used Pixelpost, zenphoto etc i know that EE can handle all those features, so i’m glad you are on the right way.

Excellent to see that you are progressing through this app. It will be a great addition to EE.

Wow, the re-redesign is fantastic!

I’m real excited about this Webdelish gallery. It looks exactly like something I was hoping to port to EE one day. Maybe the ideas/features found here will give you some ideas:

(E)2 Gallery

Good luck with everything, and I hope that link might give you some ideas!

Thanks for fixing the link… Tried to post about it earlier but got nailed with that 3300 second time limit (is that supposed to be 3300 seconds? That’s 55 minutes…). <sheepish grin>

Looks great and something I would very much be interested in.

One thought, where it shows March 2008 underneath the image, it would be good if this could be changed to show the month of the current picture displayed.

Have you considered allowing comments?

Euan, the date shows the most current as it was being designed as a picture a day kinda gallery. But yeah if you have been lax in adding pics then it show show the current month for the last picture added I suppose.

Thanks for the tip about the comments. I had some fields switched off. This is what you mean I presume. The comments for each picture?

John,

Yes I can see the comments now smile That’s exactly what I meant.

As for the month that’s fine. I like the idea of a picture a day gallery.
