Structure
This module forgoes the current template_group/template setup and creates “static” and “listing” pages that are all editable through a tree sitemap view. Now, traditional page style content and multiple entry pages can live within the same area. Your clients & authors will rejoice. – link
Entry Gallery module
This module allows you to create image galleries on a per entry basis. It really is quite good – link
NSM Publish Plus
This huge new add-on from the machine that is Leevi Graham lists as features – collaborative publishing, entry drafts, versions, workflow state, notes and member specific weblog posting privileges. – link
Linklocker Module
Allows you to simply pass a URL to a file you wish to allow a user to download and it will provide a download link that hides the file’s true location. Also, it allows you to create a timeout for the link (default is 5 minutes) as well as lock the link to the IP address of the person who is shown the link. – link
Publish Tweeks
Publish Tweeks alters the publish/edit page to streamline it for your users. It removes the “Quick Save” and “Preview” buttons when publishing. It also cancels the redirect to the preview after saving and keeps the user on the edit screen. No more lame preview! – link
Gypsy
Gypsy frees your custom fields from their field groups, enabling you to assign them directly to your weblogs. – link
MD Markitup
Create a “Markitup” custom field type for your textareas in the ExpressionEngine Control Panel. Set custom buttons per-field with CSS. Use different sets for Textile, Markdown, and XHTML. Tie your Markitup fields to Moxiecode’s Image and File managers – link
MD Dulee Noted
Creates a non-editable note field type for adding general weblog instructions. – link
Image Sizer
This plugin will resize any JPG GIF or PNG image to the desired size specified in your EE tag and cache the resized image to the cache folder. – link
Blind Date
Here’s an extension to help date entry, both in SAEF forms and in the CP. Many times the default date formatting (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM) is very confusing and not very user friendly. Blind Date applies a little date lovin for those in need. – link

Thanks for the Structure and Publish Tweeks recommendations. I’ve also never seen Entry Gallery. Can’t wait to try it! I really love when people share the tools they find useful. I always end up finding something I’ve previously missed.

nice to see a second list, would be nice to see the multi-language module on it (or in part III). multi lingual sites are becoming very popular and there has been a big demand for an add-on that handles this functionality (see this language course finder site for a live example of a site using the module).
